The awards are coming thick and fast for agricultural machinery manufacturer Väderstad at the moment. Last week they received the ‘Machine of the Year’ award at the world’s largest agricultural exhibition. Now they have also been named ‘Employer Branding Company of the Year’ by research company Universum. At the same time, they also received the ‘Career Company of the Year 2020’ seal of approval and climbed into the top 15 in a national poll of ‘Sweden’s best employers’.

Right now, Agritechnica – the world’s largest agricultural fair – is in full swing in Germany. It’s here that agricultural machinery manufacturers showcase their latest offerings ahead of the coming seasons. Sweden’s Väderstad has confirmed its leading position and once again walked off with the Machine of the Year award with its innovation, Tempo WideLining.

The Swedish agricultural machinery manufacturer Väderstad, which is a global leader in soil cultivation and drilling, is strengthening its presence in Belgium together with Homburg Machinehandel. Homburg, which has long been a partner to Väderstad in the Netherlands and Flemish parts of Belgium, has been the exclusive distributor of Väderstad machinery throughout Belgium since 1 October this year.

At Agritechnica 2019, Väderstad will introduce the new innovative Tempo WideLining system. WideLining is the worlds’ first tramlining system making it possible for the farmer to spread liquid manure in a standing silage corn crop, without having to lower the total yield potential of the field.

New innovative design, Swedish quality steel, excellent field performance and great capacity. Introducing the all-new 12.5 to 14.25m wide heavy-duty tine harrow Väderstad NZ Extreme 1250-1425.

At Agritechnica, Väderstad are introducing central-fill functionality to the world-record high-speed planter Tempo L. The high-speed planter Väderstad Tempo L will thereby be increasing its capacity even further.

Väderstads fully-owned subsidiary Svensk Presshärdning AB has changed its name to Väderstad Components AB. The company, which is the leading manufacturer of discs, tines and packer rings for farm machinery, has a strong belief in the future and now employs over 50 employees.

In 2019, Väderstad will extend the CrossCutter Disc range with a new disc adapted for the disc cultivator Väderstad Carrier XL 425-625. CrossCutter Disc will make Carrier XL deliver full cultivation at a working depth of only 3-5cm.

Väderstad, a global leader in agriculture with innovative, highly efficient machinery and methods, is strengthening its Board of Directors with the appointment of Ann Krumlinde. With extensive experience from the finance and green business sectors, Ann is a strong external addition to the Group.

The world’s first compact disc cultivator, Väderstad Carrier, was first drawn up on a French tablecloth. In 2019, the successful Väderstad Carrier celebrates its 20-year anniversary.
