Väderstad updates the pneumatic seed drill Spirit 400C/S, to provide added benefits in the farm. The new Spirit 400C/S brings great seeding precision, user-friendly electronics and a high field performance to the 4-metre seed drill segment.

Väderstad, one of the world’s leading companies in soil cultivation and seeding technology, is preparing for its upcoming CEO succession. In February 2022, Henrik Gilstring will take over as President and CEO. Henrik represents the third generation of the owner family and is currently part of Group Management.

In October, Väderstad’s new high technology material lab will open in Överum.

The analysis company Strat7 Bonamy Finch measured Väderstad's brand against nine other companies on the Swedish market. 99 percent of farmers surveyed said that they were familiar or very familiar with Väderstad as a company and an overwhelming majority were positive about Väderstad's brand.

Väderstad has hired Karl-Hubertus Reher as new Managing Director for Väderstad GmbH. He has a long experience within agriculture machinery business, his latest position was as Sales Director globally for Lemken.

Väderstad introduces the new Marathon 15/25 tine harrow point, which provides guaranteed working depth in heavier soils. Together with the wider Marathon 25/35, the tine harrow Marathon family is now complete.

Väderstad Components, a subsidiary of the Väderstad Group, manufactures key wearing parts for Väderstad’s agricultural machinery. During the past two years the company has been investing in rebuilding and expanding the factory and creating a new production line. To meet the increased demand for genuine parts, the factory is now being expanded by a further 2,000 m2.

To increase planting performance even further, Väderstad introduces the new unique stop wheel Väderstad ProStop. Thanks to its innovative design, ProStop delivers an excellent seed-to-soil contact at very high planting speed.

By releasing a new free update of the app for the iPad-based control system Väderstad E-Control, Väderstad increases the user experience in the field. Now, the farmer can find and download manuals, spare part documentation and QuickStart movies integrated in the control system.

The heavy-duty tine harrow Väderstad NZ Extreme is undergoing long-life testing in Slovakia this spring. The NZ Extreme 1425, which was transported to Slovakia directly from Agritechnica last year, is now passing 1 500 hectares in the field.
