Cutter reel for effective soil preparation
The heart of the Wil-Rich 1500 Series is the 5-bar cutter reel. Its spiral design, made with 1 x 9.8 cm (3/8 x 4-1/8") plough share steel, penetrates up to 10 cm (4"). This breaks up clods, incorporates chemicals, and levels the seedbed. The cutter reel has self-aligning bearings that are triple lip sealed and protected by a guard, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
Tines for optimal furrow shaping
The 12-row Wil-Rich 1500 Series has tines with furrow shovels in front of and behind the cutter reel. This setup creates clean, well-shaped furrows. The adjustable tines can align between rows or one in between and one on the row, making it possible to work existing beds with a sweep. This flexibility enhances irrigation and drainage, improving water management and soil preparation.
Double conditioning baskets for enhanced soil conditioning
The Wil-Rich 1500 Series features double conditioning baskets, with a flat bar basket in the front and a round bar basket in the rear. This setup reduces clod size, levels, and firms the soil, optimising the seedbed for even germination and emergence. The spring-mounted baskets ensure consistent field finishing, helping farmers achieve a well-prepared seedbed for better crop establishment and growth.
