The 3 or 4m wide box seed drill Rapid 300-400, is available either as the seed-only version Rapid 300-400S or as the combi version Rapid 300-400C. Thanks to its versatility the machine is able to handle multiple crops, grass leys and cover crops, as well as micro granulates or slug pellets. You benefit from reliable results and a modern design, allowing easy access throughout the machine.
Rapid is a seed drill that carries out seedbed preparation, levelling, drilling and reconsolidation in one pass. It offers a reliable seeding result at high working speed. The simplicity in construction, paired with a high machine quality ensures a long working life and low operating costs. Direct drilling, reduced tillage or conventional tillage – Rapid creates perfect seeding results in all conditions.

Hydraulic metering
Rapid 300-400C/S is equipped with hydraulic metering, powered from the tractor. To match the pre-set seed rate, the metering system constantly communicates with a ground radar, measuring the forward speed.
This very reliable system secures high precision metering, resistant to vibrations and irregularities on the field.
Further, the system is very easy to set and calibrate.
Large hopper - high capacity
To reduce filling downtime, the box seed drills Rapid 300-400C/S have high capacity hoppers. The hopper is designed with a large opening, allowing for fast and easy filling.
The combi models Rapid 300-400C are equipped with an adjustable wall that separates the seed and fertiliser in the hopper, thereby allowing the user to maximise capacity at all times.
The driver in focus
The modern design of Rapid 300-400C/S is focused on simplicity and ease of access throughout the machine.
With large platforms accessible from all sides of the machine, the driver get full access to the hopper, the metering system, as well as other important components on the machine.
With the iPad-based control system Väderstad E-Control, calibration is simple. Thanks to the large hopper opening filling is fast and convenient.
Modern control system
The iPad-based control system Väderstad E-Control wirelessly delivers an extensive control and monitoring of the seeding process, while driving in the field. Additionally, you benefit from user-friendly remote setup and calibration.
With the iPad you can upload the most recent program software which allows you to benefit from future developments.
One machine - multiple products
An important feature of Rapid 300-400C/S is the versatility it brings to the farm. Equipped with the mountable small-seeder BioDrill, an additional product is added. This enables grass leys, small-seeded crops, cover crops, slug pellets or micro granules to be drilled with precision at the same time as the main crop. Thanks to the unique metering system, Rapid provide impressive results in all conditions.

Product concept
Zone 1 - Consolidation
Before drilling, the soil is consolidated by the tractor wheels. The pivot packer on Rapid ensures that the same reconsolidation is exerted on areas between tractor wheels.

Zone 2 - Seedbed preparation
To fit different farming needs and tillage practices, Rapid comes with a wide choice of front tools. The intensity can be set hydraulically from the driving seat on the move, depending on what the conditions require.

Zone 3 - Drilling
Rapid has an amazing ability to keep the seed depth under the most difficult conditions. Each packer wheel controls the drilling depth of two coulters by a unique mechanical linkage. The coulters are rubber suspended which ensures a calm operation also at high speed. Depending on model, Rapid 300-400C/S has a coulter pressure up to 245kg, thus enabling an exact seed depth also under the toughest conditions.
Zone 4 - Consolidation
Each packer wheel presses the soil down over two rows of seed and one row of fertiliser. This beds the seed in thoroughly and provides optimum conditions for germination.
Zone 5 - Finishing
The following harrow creats a loose evaporation barrier that prevents surface crusting after heavy rain.
